Dongfeng Motor Group (HKG:0489) sold 162,091 vehicles in March, down from 191,070 a year prior, with production volume rising to 190,298 units in the month from 187,842 vehicles in the previous year, a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
The automaker sold 388,003 vehicles in the first quarter, down 26% from 522,090 units in the year-ago period. Production volume in the three months fell by 24% to 397,162 vehicles from 520,297 units a year prior.
The company's production and sales of new energy vehicles in March stood at 36,552 and 34,664 units, up from 27,806 and 27,940 vehicles in March 2024.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation, the parent company of Dongfeng Motor Group, logged 470,595 vehicle sales for the first quarter, down 29% from Q1 2024.
The sales volume of Dongfeng Automobile (SHA:600006) also fell by 21% to 35,750 units for the first three months.
