北京时间4月7日晚，美股大幅低开。截至北京时间晚9时35分，道琼斯指数跌3.47%，纳斯达克指数跌4.15%，标普500指数跌3.81%，自纪录高点下跌20%，跌入技术性熊市。此前，纳斯达克指数已于上周五（4日）进入熊市。

此外，科技股、芯片股也遭遇重挫，英伟达跌超7%，特斯拉跌近7%，英特尔、苹果跌近6%，亚马逊、AMD跌逾5%，阿斯麦跌超3%。
