Sprintex (ASX:SIX) implemented its G15 jet blower at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast aquarium, leading to a 72% reduction in energy consumption, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The initiative was part of a collaboration with Fresh By Design and Merlin Entertainments, the operator of SEA LIFE, the filing said.
The blower replaced a legacy side channel blower, and on implementation, it reduced the power draw to 2.7 kilowatts from 9.7 kilowatts, per the filing. It also reduced noise levels to around 71 decibels.
Sprintex's shares fell 15% in recent trading on Monday.
