据《日经亚洲》报道，丰田汽车计划将自家电动汽车车型从现在的5款，增加到2027年大约15款，建立跨越日本、中国、美洲和东南亚的生产基地。
丰田计划到2027年将电动汽车产量提高到每年约100万辆，是2024年水平的7倍。
丰田现时仅在日本及中国生产电动车。丰田计划将电动车生产扩至五个国家，在美国、泰国及阿根廷的生产，将有助对冲外汇及关税风险，并更快交付予客户。
