TerraCom (ASX:TER) reported that heavy rain and severe weather in Central Queensland have negatively impacted production at its Blair Athol mine, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
Coal sales for the March quarter totaled 321,000 tonnes, impacted by severe weather that caused rail and port disruptions, terminal slumping, berth delays, and stockyard inaccessibility, the filing said.
As a result, TerraCom has revised its annual coal sales guidance to 1.6 million tonnes, the filing added.
Shares of the company rose 8% at market close.
