Logitech Can Soften Blow From U.S. Tariffs -- Market Talk

0614 GMT - Logitech International is likely to take a hit from U.S. tariffs, but it has bandwidth to implement mitigating measures that should limit the impact, Vontobel's Michael Foeth says in a research note. The Swiss maker of computer peripherals in March estimated a hit of 200 basis points on its gross margins from applicable tariffs at the time--on products from China and Mexico--and new U.S. levies unveiled last week mean the unmitigated impact would be around 700 basis points, according to Vontobel. However, Logitech has leeway to raise prices in the U.S. by 5%-10%, Vontobel says. "While the unmitigated incremental EBIT impact is about 30%, we assume at least half of that can be mitigated."
