路透社4月7日 - 西方石油公司OXY.N旗下的1PointFive公司周一表示，美国环保署已经批准了该公司对其位于得克萨斯州的直接空气捕集$(DAC)$ 设施捕集的二氧化碳进行封存的申请。
Stratos直接空气捕集设施是美国页岩公司碳捕集与封存部门与资产管理公司贝莱德BLK.N的合资企业。Stratos 是世界上最大的 DAC 设施之一，预计将于今年晚些时候开始商业运营。
碳捕集是一种将工业活动产生的二氧化碳封存到地下的过程，目前已被雪佛龙CVX.N、埃克森美孚XOM.N和道达尔能源TTEF.PA等石油公司采用，作为减少排放和应对气候变化的策略。
该公司表示，这些许可证是该机构根据《安全饮用水法》的地下喷射控件目颁发的。
