智通财经APP获悉，拉美电商巨头MercadoLibre(MELI.US)计划今年将在巴西的投资增加48%(以当地货币计算)，重点关注物流、技术和营销领域，同时增加1.4万名员工。
作为拉丁美洲市值最高的公司，这家电子商务和金融科技巨头计划今年在巴西的业务上投入340亿雷亚尔(58亿美元)，高于2024年的230亿雷亚尔。增加新员工后，到年底，该公司在巴西的员工人数将达到5万人。
根据MercadoLibre的声明，巴西市场占其总营收的一半多一点，相当于614亿雷亚尔，其中电子商务营收占比达60%，其余营收来自金融服务部门Mercado Pago。
这家总部位于蒙得维的亚的科技公司在拉丁美洲的18个国家开展业务，今年以来股价上涨近7%，市值达到920亿美元。
该公司此前还宣布计划向第二大市场墨西哥投资34亿美元。该公司尚未披露今年在阿根廷的投资计划。首席执行官Marcos Galperin 25年前在阿根廷与人共同创立了MercadoLibre。
