BlockBeats News, April 7th. Brian Hassett, Director of the National Economic Council of the United States, was interviewed by Fox News. Host Jimmy asked whether Trump would consider suspending tariffs for 90 days. Before answering, Hassett used the interjection "Yep" and then said, "I think the President will make his decision... even if you think there might be some negative impact on trade, it only accounts for a small part of GDP." Financial blog Zero Hedge explained that the market seemed to misunderstand this 'Yep' as an agreement, but his 'Yep' was just to indicate that he had heard the question clearly. (FX168)
