GameStop (GME) said Friday that US pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will not start on April 9 as originally announced by Nintendo as the company evaluates the potential impact of the tariffs of the Trump administration and "evolving market conditions."
GameStop will "work closely with Nintendo" and provide updates on the new US pre-order date as more information becomes available, the company said in a post on X.
GME shares were up more than 6% in recent trading.
