African Gold (ASX:A1G) said a drilling program at the Didievi gold project in the Ivory Coast, revealed a significant gold system discovery, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Significant assays from drilling at the system included 110 meters at 0.5 grams per tonne grade of gold from 38 meters and 24 meters at 0.5g/t grade of gold from 84 meters.
The firm's drilling program is ongoing, with an additional 2,000 meters planned on regional targets expected to be completed in May.
The firm's shares rose 10% in recent trading on Monday.
