Macquarie Technology Group (ASX:MAQ) affiliate Macquarie Cloud Services will provide Microsoft Azure public cloud services to construction firm Symal Group (ASX:SYL), according to a Tuesday release.

The arrangement provided Symal with improved commercial discounts on Azure as well as the deployment of cloud-native monitoring, cutting infrastructure downtime and boosting capacity management.

Symal is focusing heavily on building artificial intelligence capabilities in its Azure environment, including the development of large language models and building its own AI agents.

Macquarie enabled cost savings including a 10% reduction in Microsoft subscriptions and reducing certain less-used cloud resources, per the release.

Macquarie Technology Group's shares rose 3% on market close on Tuesday.
