Amcor plans to ramp up investment in China, focusing on artificial intelligence-driven research and development, YiCai Global reported April 3.
Xin She, president of Amcor China, said the Swiss packaging giant has invested $2 billion in China since 2015, targeting high-growth sectors like ready-to-cook meals and pet products, according to the report.
The new AI initiatives aim to enhance factory safety and packaging innovation at its Asia-Pacific R&D Center in Jiangyin, YiCai wrote.
