1626 ET - Walmart's upcoming biannual investment community meeting next week should highlight the retail giant's ability to navigate better than most, Barclays analysts say in a research note. The company can't escape uncertainty related to tariffs, but the analysts' case is that Walmart should be able to mitigate costs overseas and leverage high growth and high margin revenue streams to maintain its unique pricing advantage and drive market share in this environment, the analysts say. On a short-term basis, eyes will be set on whether Walmart discloses whether its business has slowed like consumer sentiment has, the analysts say. Overall, the analysts have observed a much wider gap between what they consider discretionary grocery categories vs. less discretionary since the beginning of the quarter. Walmart closed down 4.7%, to $83.19. (sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
