Prudential (HKG:2378) repurchased 3 million ordinary shares on April 3 at an average price of 7.9797 pounds sterling each, according to a Monday filing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The shares, bought through Barclays Securities on the London Stock Exchange, will be canceled. The insurer now has about 2.62 billion shares in issue.
The buyback is part of a previously disclosed agreement with Barclays, executed under the authority granted at its 2024 AGM.
