South Bow (SOBO) said Wednesday it has shut down its Keystone Pipeline following an oil release at Milepost 171, near Fort Ransom, North Dakota.
The incident was detected by the company's leak detection system early Tuesday morning. South Bow said the spill has been contained and the affected segment isolated.
The company estimates the spill at approximately 3,500 barrels and has activated emergency response procedures, with efforts focused on site remediation.
