消息面上，汇丰控股发布公告，于4月8日斥资1470.01万英镑回购200万股；斥资1.18亿港元回购160万股。摩根士丹利发表技术意见报告，预计汇丰控股未来15天将跑赢大市，发生概率80%以上，予其“增持”评级及目标价83元。大摩指，汇控股价经近期被抛售后短期价值显现，因市场对地缘政治担忧令其股价调整。
值得注意的是，特朗普暂缓加征最新关税。摩根大通此前发布研报称，市场正押注全球陷入衰退，或会导致减息幅度加深、交易类银行收入减少，以及更高的信贷成本。该行认为，在美国及全球经济衰退的情况下，如汇丰控股和渣打集团等货币中心银行会较港银及内银更脆弱。
