Montauk Renewables Begins Renewable Natural Gas Project at Oklahoma Landfill

Montauk Renewables (MNTK) late Thursday said it started construction earlier this week on a new renewable natural gas project at the American Environmental Landfill facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The facility, expected to begin operations in early 2027, will produce up to 1.5 billion British Thermal Units per day using landfill gas feedstock, the company said.

Montauk said it plans to invest between $25 million and $35 million in the project.
