Madison Square Garden Entertainment has named David Collins chief financial officer.

The operator of Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall said Wednesday Collins will assume the role on April 14.

Collins succeeds Interim CFO Lee Weinberg, who stepped into the role in November after Michael Grau left the company after only a few months in the position.

Collins joins the company from Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment, where he oversaw finance, accounting, ticket operations and other functions for the Prudential Center, the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils, Madison Square Garden Entertainment said.

He previously worked in a range of finance roles at public and private companies in the sports and entertainment, energy, transportation and restaurant industries.
