Samsung Electronics is adding the Gemini generative artificial intelligence chatbot of Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google Cloud to its Ballie home robot under an expanded partnership, the companies said Wednesday.
Ballie will be able to engage in natural conversations to help users manage their home environments, including adjusting lighting, greeting people at the door and setting reminders, the companies said.
The new home AI companion robot from Samsung will be available in the US and Korea this summer, according to a statement.
The partnership builds on last year's integration of Gemini on Google Cloud into Samsung's Galaxy S24 smartphones, the companies added.
