--Jingye Group-owned British Steel could be nationalized by the U.K. government in order to secure its future, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed sources.
--U.K. Treasury Chief Rachel Reeves has told workers' representatives that she would be open to nationalizing the loss-making company, according to the FT.
--The government is currently looking into buying the raw materials immediately needed to keep the furnaces at the company's Scunthorpe site running in the short term, the FT reports. British Steel declined to comment.
