Sinoma International Engineering (SHA:600970) agreed to build a consumer electronics manufacturing facility for smartphone maker Lenovo Group (HKG:0992) in Saudi Arabia for $263.2 million, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
The Chinese civil engineering giant will design and construct the plant through its Saudi subsidiary, Chengdu Building Materials Industry Design & Research Institute, until Aug. 31, 2026.
The plant, which is owned by Lenovo (KSA) Innovation Technology (SILZ), will be located in the Special Integrated Logistics Zone of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Lenovo's shares dropped less than 3% in recent trade.
