Minerals Council of Australia CEO Tania Constable says Victoria’s ban on gas exploration has “caused a problem” on the east coast of Australia.
Household gas bills are estimated to fall by 7 per cent while electricity prices will drop around 3 per cent under the Coalition's gas policy, according to modelling conducted by Frontier Economics.
“It’s a mess in Victoria, let’s face it,” Ms Constable told Sky News Australia.
“No gas exploration allowed in Victoria has caused a problem on the east coast of Australia.”
