消息面上，美国总统特朗普当地时间9日表示，已授权对不采取报复行动的国家实施90天的关税暂停；东盟经济部长发表声明称，东盟承诺不对美国关税采取报复性措施。但花旗表示，在对等关税暂停90天期间内仍生效的10%基准关税，以及针对特定行业的关税，仍使美国的有效关税税率比今年年初的水平提高约21个百分点。
星展此前指出，嘉里物流旗下广阔的东南亚网络将受惠于“中国+1”策略，同时与顺丰控股的协同效应增强，推动长期增长。花旗发表研究报告，嘉里物流的国际货运代理业务(IFF)主要集中在泛太平洋航线，关税实施情况可能较预期差，对集团的IFF业务量造成负面影响。
