PANews 4月11日消息，据The Defiant报道，链上连接解决方案WalletConnect将于4月15日推出原生WCT代币。此次发行由WalletConnect基金会管理，旨在推动以WCT为核心的WalletConnect网络实现去中心化。代币持有者可通过治理机制，就网络长期经济模型中费用引入相关事宜提出、讨论并决策。WCT 代币不仅用于激励网络使用，还赋予持有者质押与治理权利。
依据WCT白皮书，该代币不会立即可转让，开启交易时间由WalletConnect基金会和代币持有者投票决定。白皮书指出，“网络功能、长期规划、生态系统发展以及基础设施保护”等是代币不可立即转让的原因。WCT供应量分配情况为：27%归WCT基金会，18.5%用于空投活动，18.5%分配给团队，17.5%用于奖励，11.5%分配给投资者，7%分配给核心开发者。开发者、团队和投资者的代币有四年解锁期，且设一年锁定期，空投活动将在未来几年分阶段进行。
