LS Cable & System (KRX:229640) secured a 200 billion won contract to supply 230 kV ultra-high voltage underground cables for a power transmission project in Singapore, the company said on Thursday.
The turnkey deal, awarded by Singapore's electricity authority, covers manufacturing, construction, and installation.
The project supports a broader plan to import solar power from Indonesia and meet the city-state's 2035 renewable energy targets.
LS Cable said it is in talks for an additional 150 billion won order, which would lift the total to 350 billion won.
The group, with affiliate LS Eco Energy, has led Singapore's high-voltage cable market for over a decade and is also exploring a submarine cable link between Vietnam and Singapore.
