0848 ET - Amazon MGM's plan to put out blockbuster films could help buoy Cinemark in trying times, JPMorgan analysts say, upgrading shares to overweight from neutral. Amazon MGM pledged to increase theatrical output to 15 "big, bold, cinematic, global films annually by 2027," which could be the replacement for 20th Century Fox's output, the analysts say. Quality and quantity have been headwinds in the first quarter for box offices, compared with the year before, partly due to lingering impacts from the SAG-AFTRA strike, the analysts say. Cinemark is up 4.6% to 28.45. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
