CGN New Energy Logs 5% Decline in March Power Output

CGN New Energy (HKG:1811) recorded a power output of 1,765.1 gigawatt-hours in March, down 4.7% from a year prior, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse stated.

In particular, power generation from wind and hydro projects in China rose by 2.2% and 9.2%, respectively.

On the other hand, output from solar and cogen & gas-fired projects in China fell by 7.1% and 37%, respectively, with generation from Korean projects also dropping 16%.

For the first quarter of 2025, total power generation output slid 3.7% year over year to 4,771 gigawatt-hours.

In the three months, Chinese solar and hydro projects logged a respective 8.2% and 0.9% boost.

Output from wind and cogen & gas-fired projects in China fell 1.1% and 22% in the quarter, respectively, with generation from Korean projects also decreasing by 11%.
