Carnavale Resources (ASX:CAV) started the second phase of drilling at its Swiftsure and Tiptoe gold deposits within the Kookynie gold project in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The 20-hole program includes 3,500 meters of reverse circulation and 400 meters of diamond drilling, and will target extensions to high-grade zones at Swiftsure and explore new shallow discoveries at Tiptoe, the filing said.

Metallurgical samples will also be collected to advance process studies. The program is expected to take three weeks, with results due by the end of May, the filing added.
