Napier Port Holdings' Total Container Volumes Up 21% in Fiscal Q2; Shares Rise 3%

Napier Port Holdings' (NZE:NPH) total container volumes increased by more than 21% year on year to 68,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand bourse.

Total bulk cargo volumes decreased 9% to 800,000 tonnes.

For the half-year period, container volumes rose nearly 14% to 112,000 TEU. Total bulk cargo volumes declined 9% to 1.7 million tonnes.

The number of cruise vessel calls came in at 77, compared with 88 calls in the year-ago period.

Napier Port's shares were up 3% in recent Wednesday trade.
