Nordic Stocks Tipped to Open Higher -- Market Talk

0650 GMT - Nordic markets are seen opening higher with IG calling the OMXS30 up 0.9% at around 2301. The relief rally was short-lived and yesterday saw new steep stock market falls in the U.S., SEB analysts say in a note. "The pessimism stems from the fact that recession risks for the United States very much remain." There is still no tariff deal with any country that has received the 90-day tariff suspension while the conflict with China has worsened, SEB says. In Asia, stock markets are mixed. "It's obvious that the market is preparing for worse times. At the same time, not everything is pitch black." Ahead of the stock market opening today, futures are pointing up in both Europe and the U.S. OMXS30 closed at 2280.57, OMXN40 at 2119.65 and OBX at 1329.94. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
