Australia's Final Approved Dwellings Down 0.3% in February; Annual Growth Also Confirmed at 26%

Australia's seasonally adjusted approved dwellings declined 0.3% month on month to 16,606 units in February in line with preliminary figures, according to final data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday.

This follows a 6.9% rise in January.

Private-sector houses rose 1% to 9,203. Excluding houses, private-sector dwellings declined 1.5% to 7,113. Both are also in line with preliminary data.

On the year-ago period, total dwellings climbed nearly 26% in February.
