Loongson Technology (SHA:688047) assured its investors that the US' "reciprocal" tariffs will not leave a negative impact on the company, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange disclosure on Thursday.
The statement came after US President Donald Trump announced that tariffs on Chinese goods were hiked to 104%, with Beijing imposing an 84% tariff on US goods after.
The Chinese chipmaker, which is developing an open information technology independent of the X86 and ARM architectures, said it has no revenue coming from the US. The company's LoongArch instruction set has a Linux-based foundational software ecosystem comparable to those of X86 and ARM.
