BlockBeats News, April 15th, according to Bloomberg, Phantom is being sued over the Wiener Doge Meme Coin theft incident.
Meme coin developer Thomas Liam Murphy and other victims stated that a malicious attacker stole and cashed out over $500,000 worth of Wiener Doge digital assets from Murphy's Phantom wallet on January 20th this year.
Murphy and his 13 relatives have filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. According to the complaint, Murphy's friends and family also purchased Wiener Doge cryptocurrency. They accused Phantom Technologies Inc. of failing to provide adequate security measures, exposing users to the risk of malware and cryptocurrency wallet theft.
