BlockBeats News, April 15th, DeFi fixed income platform Treehouse Finance completed a new round of financing, with the specific financing amount undisclosed. The token valuation reached $4 billion. This round of financing adopted the structure of SAFT. Treehouse Finance did not disclose who its main investors are but referred to them as the "venture capital arm of one of the largest life insurance and financial services companies managing over $500 billion in assets." The investor appears to be MassMutual Ventures, which also participated in Treehouse's seed round of financing.
MassMutual Ventures declined to comment when interviewed. Other participants in the latest round of financing include Ethena's Guy Young, QCP Capital's Darius Sit, Paxos's Rich Teo, Etherscan's Matthew Tan, Selini Capital's Jordi Alexander, and former Point72 Asset Management's Michael Ashby from Algoquant, among other angel investors.
Treehouse's previous $18 million seed round of financing was completed three years ago (March 2022) and also followed the SAFT structure. Treehouse's core products include Decentralized Oracle Rate (DOR) and tAssets (Treehouse Assets). DOR is currently in the testing phase, with the mainnet expected to launch in June.
