BUZZ-United Airlines rises on stable bookings despite forecast miss

** United Airlines shares UAL.O rise ~5.5% to $70.70 in extended trade

** UAL says forward bookings over the last two weeks have remained stable

** However, UAL expects adjusted profit between $3.25 and $4.25 per share in the current quarter, the midpoint of which is lower than $3.93 estimated by analysts, according to data compiled by LSEG

** UAL estimates an economic recession in the U.S. would lead to a 5 percentage point drop in its revenue, translating into FY adjusted profit of $7 a share to $9 a share

** Up to Tuesday's close, stock had fallen ~31% YTD
