Sylvamo (SLVM) said Wednesday that its board has elected its chief financial officer John Sims to serve as the company's chief operating officer beginning May 1, and then as chief executive officer on Jan. 1.
Sims, the company's CFO since 2021, will succeed Jean-Michel Ribieras, who will retire on Dec. 31, the company said.
Don Devlin will succeed Sims as the company's CFO beginning May 1. Devlin most recently worked as vice president for transformation and strategy deployment at International Paper (IP).
