Market Chatter: China Halts Boeing Jet Deliverables Amid Escalating Tariff War

China has ordered its airlines to stop taking deliveries of Boeing aircraft and to halt purchases of US-made aviation equipment, in response to escalating trade tensions with the US, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The move follows China's imposition of 125% retaliatory tariffs on American goods after the US levied up to 145% tariffs on Chinese products.

The measures significantly raise costs for Chinese airlines, making Boeing deliveries impractical, according to the report. While some jets may still be delivered under previous agreements, the long-term outlook remains uncertain.
