Nvidia (NVDA) and Google parent Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) have invested in artificial intelligence startup Safe Superintelligence, or SSI, along with other investors, Reuters reported Friday, citing a source familiar with the matter.

The exact terms of the technology giants' investment in SSI couldn't be determined, according to the report.

SSI was co-founded by OpenAI's former chief scientist, Ilya Sutskever, and was recently valued at $32 billion, the news agency reported, citing sources.

Nvidia, Alphabet, and Safe Superintelligence did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
