汇丰环球研究发表研究报告指，虽然全球贸易环境可能继续带来市场不确定性，但房地产投资信托基金(REITs)可能是一个分散风险的投资选择。
该行提及，REITs纳入股票通的时间表尚未公布，但现阶段已经看到数项积极进展。这些进展包括将A股REITs纳入强积金的合资格投资，以及H股REITs转让的印花税豁免。该行亦认为，REIT通在今年实现的可能性很高。据港交所的说法，目前正处于实施阶段，港交所正与内地合作伙伴就技术及营运问题进行协调，相关举措已列入北京两会及香港财政预算案议程当中。
汇丰环球研究表示，在H股REITs板块中，偏好领展房产基金(00823.HK) 及置富产业信托(00778.HK) ，因为该两只股份具有更高的每单位分派确定性，并专注于非可自由支配的零售业务。另外，纳入股票通可能有助上述两股重新评级，因为股东基础将扩大。
