Hesai Group's AT128 Lidar Sensor to be Incorporated in Didi, GAC Aion's L4 Robotaxi

Hesai Group (HSAI) said Tuesday its AT128 light detection and ranging, or lidar, sensor will be used in the first L4 production-ready Robotaxi vehicle.

Robotaxi is a collaboration between Didi Autonomous Driving and GAC Aion New Energy Automobile, and the L4 Robotaxi model is expected to enter mass production this year, according to the statement. The vehicle is set for initial deployment in 2026, said Hesai.

Shares of Hesai Group were down over 8% in recent Tuesday trading.
