BlockBeats News, April 15th. U.S. Vice President Pence stated that due to President Trump's love for the UK and the Royal Family, the U.S. and the UK are very likely to reach a "great agreement" on trade. In President Trump's initial tariff statement, the UK did not face the harshest punishment as the trade relationship between the two countries is fairly balanced. Nevertheless, the UK now faces a 10% tariff on imports from the U.S., while its steel and automotive industries are subject to a 25% tariff. Officials from both countries have been in talks for weeks, initially focusing on strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence and technology, but this may also expand to include food and other goods. Pence stated that the U.S. government is working very closely with Prime Minister Stamer's government. Regarding the cultural affinity between the U.S. and the UK, Pence said, "I think we are very likely to reach a great agreement that serves the best interests of both countries." (FXStreet)
