Netflix (NFLX) is testing a new artificial intelligence search technology that aims to refine how users explore its catalog, Bloomberg News reported Saturday.
The search engine, which is powered by Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI, lets customers find shows using their mood and other criteria, the news outlets reported, citing the streaming giant.
Some customers in Australia and New Zealand can already use the tool, which is only available on Apple (AAPL) iOS devices, with the test to expand to the US and other markets soon, according to the report.
Netflix didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
The company's shares were up 1% in recent premarket activity Monday.
