KKR (KKR) is nearing a deal to acquire German IT service provider Datagroup, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

KKR could announce an offer this week, the sources told the news outlet, adding that negotiations were still ongoing and the deal was not certain yet.

Datagroup founder and chairman of the supervisory board Max Hans-Hermann Schaber, who holds an almost 54% stake in the company, could retain a holding after the transaction, the sources said.

KKR and Datagroup did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
