GIIB (KLSE:GIIB) unit GIIB Material Sciences signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore-based Global Enviro to collaborate on end-of-life tires and rubber waste.
The partnership will focus on the offtake and commercial use of recovered carbon black and graphene from Global Enviro's tire pyrolysis operations and developing a circular economy framework with blockchain traceability and ESG metrics.
Global Enviro will also support GIIB's market expansion in Singapore, including partnerships with government-linked companies and institutions, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.
The arrangement will be valid for a year, the manufacturer of rubber-related compounds said.
