Two of the country’s best-known environmentalists, Richard Flanagan and Geoff Cousins, say banks are complicit in the destruction of Macquarie Harbour in Tasmania after funding Tassal’s salmon farming operations.
Flanagan, an award-winning author, and Cousins, a former Telstra and PBL board member turned eco-warrior, said the description of the loan extended by Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and Rabobank was misleading at best.
