11:50 ET - Bank of Canada's No. 2 official says it's too early to discuss or opine on the U.S. dollar losing its status as a reserve currency following volatile trading in financial markets, including a swing upward in Treasury bond yields. "It's premature to read anything sort of structural into what we're seeing, or to kind of get ahead of ourselves and declare those kinds of things," Senior Deputy Gov. Carolyn Rogers told reporters, when asked about traders losing favor with USD-denominated assets. She says trading in Treasurys has settled down, "and the market seemed to absorb what was a pretty big shift without big dislocations." (paul.vieira@wsj.com, @paulvieira)
