Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) said drilling began at its wholly-owned and recently Minyari gold project in Western Australia, targeting resource growth and new discoveries, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The phase one drilling program will consist of 389 holes for 35,000 meters in total depth, and it will include air core, reverse circulation, and diamond core drilling.
The program is currently expected to run for three months and will be fully funded through the firm's existing cash balance.
One reverse circulation drilling rig is conducting first-pass drilling at the Parklands target, while a second reverse circulation drilling rig and diamond core drilling rig at Minyari Dome will begin work next week, followed by an air core drilling rig starting at the GEO-01 South prospect in several weeks' time.
