Guangzhou Automobile Group (SHA:601238, HKG:2238), or GAC, will debut its first Level 3 autonomous vehicle in the fourth quarter, Yicai Global reported Monday.
The car manufacturer plans to deliver cars pre-installed with Level 4 autonomous driving technology in 2025, aiming for large-scale operations in 2026 and full release by 2027, according to the report.
GAC's joint venture with Didi Autonomous Driving, Andi Technology, will begin mass production of L4 vehicles in 2025, targeting rollout in parts of Guangzhou and Beijing in 2026, the report said.
Shares of the company were down 1% in recent trade.
