Talga Group (ASX:TLG) said its planned Luleå Anode Refinery in Sweden was granted net-zero strategic project status by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth under the EU Net-Zero Industry Act, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The refinery is part of the firm's integrated mine-to-anode Vittangi anode project. Its natural graphite mine in Sweden was designated as a strategic project under the EU Critical Raw Minerals Act earlier.
The law seeks to strengthen European manufacturing capabilities for net-zero technologies, and it allows for expedited administrative treatment, permitting, and priority in dispute resolution procedures. It also provides advisory support for financing and investor matchmaking.
